North American Missionary Categories 1. MissionaryThe missionary category is for a qualified person in long-term
service who is appointed and supported in full or part by NAMB. 2. Missionary Associate
Candidates who do not meet all the qualifications for the missionary category
can serve as missionary associates. These candidates provide special skills,
cultural understanding or have exceptional experience. 3. ApprenticeAppointed to a two-year, non-renewable term. This category is
intended for candidates who have a seminary degree, and who have less than two
years of service following seminary. The apprentice is supervised closely by an
experienced missionary or pastor. 4. US/C-2 Missionary
Personnel appointed to serve two years in the U.S. or Canada. 5. Family and ChurchThis category is for the approval of a spouse whose mate
serves as the primary worker. 6. Mission Service Corps
Adults who serve four months or longer and are self funded through retirement
income, working in the marketplace or raising support. 7. SojournersHigh school students who have completed their junior year can
serve 4-10 weeks in the summer. 8. Summer MissionaryCollege students who have completed their freshman year
can serve 4-10 weeks in the summer. 9. Semester Missionary
College students who have completed their freshman year can serve one to five
