Royal Ambassadors North American Mission Board 2001
Every boy needs a hero, and what a thrill when you can be that special person who walks beside a boy on his spiritual journey. Many of todays on mission Christians credit Royal Ambassadorsand their RA counselorswith giving them a heart for missions and a desire to share their faith.
RAs is more than 90 years old, with a strong tradition of changing lives.
But RAs has a new look. It still has all the aspects that have made RAs strong but look for different packaging. Youll still find missionary stories, but now RAs has moved from a study of missionaries to hands-on mission involvement, using missionaries as role models for ways boys can serve Christ themselves.
If you were one of the fortunate children whose parents taught their Sunday school class or led their mission group, you know the unique relationship of a child to his parent who also modeled the on mission lifestyle as a leader.
If you want to recapture that relationship with your son, being a Royal Ambassador counselor may be just the way to spend meaningful time with your son, while mentoring him and his peers to be on mission.
RAs is for boys in grades 1-6 and is a strong complement to Girls in Action for girls in the same age group. There are a number of resources available to help you start an RA chapter in your church.
