Show that Jesus is the Messiah by using the Old Testament, not the New
Testament. However, it is best not to refer to the Old Testament as the "Old
Testament" as that suggests "dated" or no longer with purpose. The Old
Testament may be called the Tanakh (consisting of the Torah or five Books of
Moses, the Nevi'm or Prophets and the Kethuvim or Writings). It may also be
referred to as the Jewish Bible or Hebrew Bible. The New Testament, if used,
should be referred to as the B'rit Cha-da-shah.
