Over the past five years weve made adjustments and improvements in the content and look of On Mission, always with the goal of helping readers to be more faithful and effective as on mission Christians. Now were ready to introduce a major redesign of On Mission that we hope will take its value to you as a reader to a whole new level. In fact, many of those new elements youll find previewed in this issue.

Quite simply, we want On Mission to be indispensable reading for every missions-minded person in your church. We hope youll enthusiastically recommend it, and make sure your church has its own bulk subscription.

Regardless of its size or location your church can have worldwide influence, and we want each issue of On Mission to be a guidebook and a practical resource for making that happen. With that in mind, the new On Mission will be:

More visualyoull find more maps, charts and photos.  Well do more of the digging and research and summarizing needed to give you quick, visual summaries of what you need to know about your world and your mission fields.

More accessiblein addition to in-depth pieces, well deliver quick-read, one- or two-page pieces so you can get in and out of a topic, idea or story in a hurry. Will that short-change you on substance or content? No, because the new On Mission also will be

More electronicone reason we can be more visual and more accessible on the pages of the printed magazine is that well use the Web (our site and others) to deliver more detail and more resources than is practical or economical to print and mail. If youre not Internet-active (and you really should be!), youll still get plenty of strong content in the printed pages of On Mission. But youll also notice those pages pointing more and more to additional information, photos and resources on the Web.

More comprehensivewhile our friends at the International Mission Board and The Commission will continue to be your primary source of information on international missions, On Mission will increase its efforts to give you and your church a worldview that includes a balanced, Acts 1:8 approach to your worldwide mission.

More practicalIf the new On Mission isnt the most how-to, where-to-start, how-to-find-what-we-need missions magazine available, then we havent done our job.  But were committed to that job. Flip through this issue and let us know how were doing.
