Jay, Jay the Jet Plane
Tommy Nelson and Porchlight Entertainment
2000

Its a bird ... its a plane ... its not just any plane ... its Jay, Jay the Jet Plane.

A preschooler at your house might recognize the friendly face of Jay Jay, who flies across the screen every weekday on The Learning Channel. Now that same inquisitive little plane can help you open doors to share Christ with your children and reinforce the Christian values you teach everyday. The state-of-the-art technology and facial animation in the video is the same top quality that appears on television.

Last fall, Focus on the Family joined with Tommy Nelson and Porchlight Entertainment to release the first three-video versions designed specifically to incorporate biblical content. The next three video versions, which have just been released, are also ideal for on mission families with children aged 3-7.

Each video contains three stories about Jay Jay and his flying friends. With a running time of 11 minutes, every story is perfectly timed to show during those intense few minutes before supper is served or when a second child is in the tub. For example, the video Bright and Beautiful includes "Snuffys Rainbow" (Genesis 9:12-13), "Snuffy Discovers the Ocean" (Genesis 1:21,26), and "Upside Down Waterfall" (Psalm 66:5).

Co-viewing with your children and their friends can open the door to a direct evangelistic opportunity. For example, a natural extension of "Snuffys Rainbow" might be the casual invitation for your child to tell a friend about Gods first rainbow.

These videos make an excellent birthday gift for your childrens friends, opening a door to reach the parents too. A wonderfully cuddly plush Jay Jay, which is now available, will be joined by other plush friends and additional videos.
