On the Sunday following September 11, church pews were packed with people seeking answers and solace. Since then, the surge in church attendance may have diminished, but the questions remain. This book grew out of a series of sermons addressing some of these tough questions.

Pastor and author Ed Dobson is uniquely equipped to delve into this subject. Not only does he have strong emotional ties to the city of New York, but in the months preceding the attack he had been diagnosed with a degenerative neurological disease. As a result of Dobsons personal anguish and soul searching, this book has an authenticity which will draw readers into a deeper understanding and acceptance of Gods presence in the face of tragedy.

After the obvious questions such as Where was God when...?, this book examines many of the other serious concerns which have haunted our post-9/11 world: Is it the end of the world? Who is to blame...? Is it right to punish the terrorists and go to war? Along with solidly grounded answers, he emphasizes the importance of praising God, even when disaster surrounds us.

This is an excellent book to share with seekers. Dobsons authority is clearly rooted in scripture, and he avoids lofty theological discussion in favor of real-life answers.
