Live the Life—Student Evangelism Training Kit
Youth Specialties
1998

This isn’t your father’s evangelism training book for youth. The first thing you’ll notice about the Live the Life kit is its relevance to modern-day life. For example, page one jumps right off into directing you to the Live the Life website (www.livethelife.org). And everything that supports the kit—from the video to the artwork—is fresh, visually exciting and “real.” This kit hits students where they live in the real world.

Live the Life approaches learning to share your faith by focusing on three key character traits:

  • Depending on Jesus
  • Being real
  • Loving others

From that start, students then hone in on putting into action their decision to tell others about Christ. They learn how to share Christ both by getting involved with others (such as church groups) and at the personal, one-on-one level.

Each lesson is divided into a series of short segments, designed to keep the session moving. The easy-to-follow outline will help even inexperienced class leaders use the material effectively. Segments include:

  • Monologues—leader using a provided script
  • Videos—on-screen vignettes
  • Talkbacks—feedback from students
  • Guidebooks—a time of written reflection
  • Scared Silent—time to address personal fears in sharing the gospel
  • Gutsy Acts—a challenge to act on what is learned
  • Life Together—small group discussion time

Each kit contains a Leader’s Guide, the Student Evangelism Training Video and six copies of the Student Evangelism Training Guidebook.
